A Jamestown man is going to prison for selling meth in the city.
U.S. Attorney Trini E. Ross has announced that Mark R. Maio, 40, who was convicted of conspiracy to possess with intent to distribute, and to distribute, 50 grams or more of methamphetamine, was sentenced to serve 10 years and one month in prison by U.S. District Judge Richard J. Arcara.
Assistant U.S. Attorney Joshua A. Violanti, who is handling the case, stated that in January 2019, investigators executed a search warrant at the residence of Maio and co-defendant Brittany Dellahoy. During the search, law enforcement recovered quantities of methamphetamine, marijuana, crack cocaine, heroin, drug paraphernalia, and $2,036 in cash. Dellahoy was previously convicted and sentenced.
The sentencing is the result of an investigation by the Jamestown Police Department, under the direction of Chief Timothy Jackson, the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force, under the direction of Cattaraugus County Sheriff Timothy Whitcomb, and the Drug Enforcement Administration, under the direction of Special Agent-in-Charge Frank Tarantino, New York Field Division.
