The Chautauqua County Master Gardeners Association sent representative Janet Forbes to teach homeschool families gardening education. The Kennedy Free Library hosts a homeschool group called “Libratory” the first and third Wednesday of each month at 10:30 a.m. Mrs. Forbes read “How Groundhog’s Garden Grew ” by Lynn Cherry. Forbes educated the children on the parts of a plant and the growing cycle. They created their own gardens by crafting from recycled gardening magazines.
