Ellen Ditonto, Jamestown Board of Public Utilities business development coordinator, recently outlined financial opportunities available for regional manufacturers looking to transition into climate tech/clean tech manufacturing.

Ditonto spoke to the Manufacturers’ Association of the Southern Tier members about incentives available through Retool WNY at a recent meeting at the P-TECH Academy in Dunkirk.

Retool WNY, supported by the New York State Energy and Research Authority, makes business leaders and manufacturers aware of opportunities in the clean technology sector and promotes the region as a location for suppliers in this sector to develop manufacturing facilities. According to Ditonto, Retool WNY offers customized studies that can assist regional manufacturers to determine if they can pivot or transform a production line to help supply parts or components for the climate tech or clean tech sector.

Manufacturers who are ready to purchase equipment or software to move forward with producing these products as part of the clean tech supply chain also may be eligible to receive grant dollars to use toward those purchases.

Details about opportunities open to regional businesses and manufacturers through Retool WNY are available by contacting Ditonto at 716-661-1686 or by email: businessdev@jamestownbpu.com.

Starting at $4.00/week.
