The Myers Memorial Library in Frewsburg has announced the winners of its Summer Chalk Contest held recently with 37 artists participating. There were four categories: child ages 0-9, teen ages 10-16 and adults ages 17 and up, and People’s Choice. The winner of the Best Child Chalk Art was Selah and Greg Fegley with their (Top left) “Rainbow Fish”. Honorable Mention Child Chalk Art went to Brynne Wheeler with her “Rainbow Reflection on the Ocean” and Olivia Kehrli with her (Bottom Left) “Diving Dolphin”. Best Teen Chalk Art went to AJ Spitzer with her (Top Right) “Snorkling “Oh”” from the movie Home. Honorable Mention Teen Chalk Art went to Mattea Spitzer with her “Floating Jellyfish” and Annika Roushey with her “Sea Otters”. Best Adult Chalk Art went to Chris Balaskas with his (Bottom Right) “Giant Octopus” which took up two squares. Honorable Mention Adult Chalk Art went to Kimberly Brooks with her “Light House on the Shore”, and to Jayme Lindberg with her “Whale Tale at Sunset”. Our People’s Choice Award went to Stephanie Lee with her “Under Water Sea Scene”. Honorable Mention People’s Choice went to Chris Balaskas and AJ Spitzer.
