Falconer To Put On Virtual Middle School Play

FALCONER — Falcon Productions presents its first ever virtual middle school play on Saturday.

Directors April Binkley, Jen Mikula and Pam Sigular found and orchestrated the Falconer Central School drama programs’ traditional fall middle school play as a virtual event. The small cast completed auditions and most practices remotely utilizing Zoom technology. Even the crew has morphed into video editors to assist with the production of this technology-dependent show.

“Help Desk” by Don Zolidis, is a series of short scenes around a call-in help desk. Customers call in for help with everything from deliveries gone wrong to computer viruses, pets, romantic assistance, and more. Some of the calls are odd and some of the help desk attendees are odder, leaving the viewer of this show laughing and shaking their heads in disbelief.

The show will be presented Saturday at 2:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets can be purchased to receive a streaming link for whichever show is preferred or to attend in-person and view on the athletic field screen. Streaming tickets are advance sales only by emailing falconproductions@falconerschools.org.

Tickets for the in-person show will be limited due to gathering restrictions and social distancing guidelines that must be followed. Chairs and blankets are encouraged for seating on the field.
