Fill The Boot Drive Benefits MDA

FREDONIA — A recent “Fill the Boot” drive by members of the Fredonia Professional Fire Fighters Association IAFF Local 2931 raised $4,700 to benefit the Muscular Dystrophy Association.

“The fire fighters of Fredonia, IAFF Local 2931 have once again gone above and beyond for MDA’s families during this year’s Fill the Boot campaign,” said Heather Powers, MDA development specialist. “We are so grateful for their dedication and for the generosity of those in the Fredonia community who have helped to raise critical funds to help transform the lives of kids and adults with muscular dystrophy, ALS and related muscle-debilitating diseases.

Fundraisers help the Muscular Dystrophy Association pay for research, care centers and send more than 70 local youth to “the best week of the year” at MDA summer camp at Rotary Sunshine Campus in Rush, N.Y.
