Thule Lodge Holds Annual Memorial Service
FALCONER — The Thule Lodge held its annual Memorial service in the Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Falconer. Lodge chairman Tom Eckberg opened the service with a welcome to all.
The service was conducted by lodge chaplain Diane K. Shaw, vice chairman Susan W. Sipos and membership chairman Bernice Veights. At the service, those members who died in the last year were remembered with a carnation being placed on the altar for each one, as their names were read. During the service, Veights provide piano music and a series of hymns.
The carnations were provided for family members and guests to take. Following the service, refreshments were provided by Fanchon Fuller, Julie Pickett and Stephanie Buccola. Lodge historian John Sipos led all in the Pledge of Allegiance. The special meeting award was presented to past lodge chairman Ralph Veights.
The next Thule Lodge meeting will be on Thursday, June 27, at 7 p.m. at the Falcon’s Nest in Falconer.
