Look For Audubon Beavers At Dusk, Saturday April 27

The Audubon Community Nature Center is presenting an outdoor adventure, the Dusk Beaver Search, on Saturday, April 27.

The Audubon Community Nature Center will host a dusk beaver search from 8 to 9:30 p.m. Saturday, April 27.

Beaver signs are everywhere at Audubon: chopped trees, stripped sticks, dams, and lodges. The beavers themselves are a little more elusive.

Dawn and dusk are the best times to look for beavers as they move around their habitat.

On this outdoor search led by an Audubon educator, the group will hit the dusky trails and overlooks to search for the beavers that call Audubon home. Along the way members will learn what makes beavers special and their unique role in the environment.

Binoculars will be provided for those who wish to use them.

Those attending are asked to dress for the weather and be prepared to hike in low-light conditions over uneven trails.

Cost for the outing is $8 or $6 for Nature Center members and children ages 9-15.

Enrollment is limited. Paid reservations, required by Thursday, April 25, can be made by calling 716-569-2345 during business hours or online through Programs and Events at AudubonCNC.org.
