YMCA To Offer Open Meal Sites Throughout City

The YMCA of Jamestown is offering open meal sites throughout the city of Jamestown as part of its Summer Food Service Program.

Available now, the YMCA will offer open meal sites providing meals to any children through 18 years of age. The program is offered in partnership between the Jamestown YMCA, St. Susan Center, James Prendergast Library, Jamestown Public Schools and the city of Jamestown. Locations will include Lillian Dickson Park, Allen Park, Lincoln Elementary, C.C. Ring Elementary Fletcher Elementary, at which Parks and Recreation staff will be leading summer programming. In addition, the James Prendergast Library will host a lunch site with activities coordinated by the Jamestown YMCA and the library staff. Each lunch site will operate Monday to Friday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. An additional open site will begin July 9 in conjunction with a Lit Camp being offered at Love Elementary School, with food available from 12:30 to 1 p.m.
