Pittsburgh Blues Band Mahajibee To Perform In Mayville Park Summer Concert Series

MAYVILLE — The Mayville/Chautauqua Community Chamber of Commerce will host Pittsburgh blues band Mahajibee Blues from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday, July 27, when the 2017 Entertainment in the Park Summer Concert Series continues at Lakeside Park in Mayville.

Mahajibee Blues is a five-piece band that performed in the 2014 Entertainment in the Park in 2014. The group has been performing for 17 years with music played on HD radio, local and regional blues radio stations as well as in Europe, Canada and Australia.

The band continues to use its twin lead guitars to mix classic and contemporary blues styles in performances across the country. Mahajibee Blues band members are Jack Rhyner on bass, Ray Sherman on guitar, Kevin Goss on drums, Mike Brozovich on guitar, and Pat Tevis on vocals and harp.

Rainbow the Clown (Jerry Stimson) will also be on hand to entertain children with balloon sculptures and face painting.

Performances are free through sponsorship by the town of Chautauqua and village of Mayvlle. Those attending should bring their own seating. In case of inclement weather, the performance will take place at the Carlson Community Center, also located at Lakeside Park in Mayville.

A 50/50 giveaway will be held at the concerts benefiting the chamber. The Mayville Fire Department will offer popcorn and water on a donation basis to raise money for the department while a chicken barbecue is held to raise money for the Maple Springs Fire Department.
