Maple Grove Seventh-Grade Students Display Science Fair Projects

The seventh-grade students at Maple Grove Junior Senior High school recently displayed their individual science fair projects. Students worked diligently to come up with a question, design an experiment to answer that question, and collect data to test their hypothesis. Projects ranged from testing different brands of hand sanitizer on bacterial growth, to powering a cellphone with lemons, to the effect of music on heart rate. First-place prize went to Kampbell Howard for his project “Turning Milk into Plastic.” Miles Wilkin took second place for his project “Premium Brand vs. Generic Brand Batteries” and Riley Caskey took third for her project “Moldy Bread.” With the help of volunteer judges and parents, the night was a success. “The students did such an amazing job on their projects. I couldn’t be prouder,” said Mrs. Morton.
