Bridge Work To Close Road In Villenova

Construction crews will be replacing a bridge on Balcom Cross Road in the town of Villenova beginning Thursday. The road will be closed until further notice. A detour will be posted.

New Exhibit Opens At Lakewood Library

LAKEWOOD — An avid photographer for most of her life, Jeanne Wiebenga has found inspiration from traveling the world with some leaders in the field of nature and wildlife photography. A new exhibit at Lakewood Memorial Library is the result of her observations of a new Osprey pair, one of the first to return to Chautauqua Lake, close to home. An opening reception will be held on Thursday from 5-7 p.m. to celebrate Wiebenga and her stunning documentation of the Ospreys of Loomis Goose Creek Wetland Preserve. The event is free and open to the public. Wiebenga’s photos will be on view throughout the month of July. Lakewood Memorial Library is located at 12 W. Summit St. in Lakewood.

United Senior Council To Meet

Library To Host Jewelry Revival Workshop

LAKEWOOD — Lakewood Memorial Library will host a “Jewelry Revival” craft workshop on Sarutday, July 15, at 11 a.m. Bring your old unloved jewelry and breathe new life into it with guidance from jewelry artist D’Arsie Mae Manzella. Kennedy Library To Host Golf Tourney

The Kennedy Free Library is hosting its inaugural golf tournament July 29 at 2 p.m. at Breezewood Links Golf Course. The tournament will be 18 holes, a two-man scramble on a par 3 course. The cost is $100 per team with proceeds to benefit the Kennedy Free Library. The price will include, prizes, snacks, water, and hot dogs. Register at the library or at Breezewood Links. KENNEDY — The Kennedy Free Library will be hosting a chicken barbecue on July 30 from noon to 2 p.m. at the Kennedy Fireman’s Grounds. Each dinner will include a half chicken, macaroni salad, baked beans, and bread and will cost $15. Tickets are for sale at the Kennedy Free Library.
