Memorial Library Hosting Book Sale All Of Dec.

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood Memorial Library will be hosting a book sale for the entire month of December. It features adult and children’s fiction, both hardbacks and paperbacks. There is also a selection of Christmas books and coffee table books. Most item are $1 or less. The sale is open until the end of December during regular library hours: Monday to Friday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Commissioner Election Dec. 14

The Coldsrping Fire District No. 1 will hold its commissioner election Dec. 14 at the Coldspring Fire Hall, 2603 Route 394, Steamburg. Voting will be from 6-7:30 p.m. Any registered voter from the town of Coldspring may vote.

Breakfast Buffet Sun. Dec. 12

LAKEWOOD — The Lakewood American Legion Post No. 1286, 174 Chautauqua Ave. in Lakewood, is offering a breakfast buffet Sunday from 8-11 a.m. Children 3 and under eat free. All area members of any veterans club and their guests are welcome.

School Board Meeting Mon. Dec. 13

BEMUS POINT — Members of the Bemus Point Central School Board will meet at 6 p.m. Monday, Dec.13, in the cafeteria at Maple Grove Middle-High School on Dutch Hollow Road. An executive session will take place at 5:30 p.m.

SINCLAIRVILEL — The Cassadaga Valley Central School Board will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 13, in the middle-high school multipurpose room.

Lighting Contest

GERRY — The Gerry United Methodist Church is sponsoring a Christmas lighting contest for the entire town of Gerry beginning Dec. 20. Awards will be given out after Jan. 1. To enter, send a name, address and phone number to Gerry UM Church, PO Box 187 Gerry, NY 14740 by Dec 20.

Holiday Exhibit

The Fenton History Center will host the 2021 Holiday Exhibit “Christmas at Santa’s Workshop” The exhibit is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Jan. 6. The center is also hosting two holiday events. On Dec. 17 from 6 to 8 p.m. the Fenton History Center will host candlelight hours. Guests can tour the mansion and holiday exhibit by candlelight. On Dec. 18 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. the center is hosting a holiday open house where guests can tour the mansion, enjoy some games and make-and-take craft projects for the kids. Admission to the museum and for these events is $10 adults with Fenton History Center members and children 17 admitted free.
