Ruth Ann (Johnson) Walter, 84, of Jamestown, passed away on Monday, June 22, 2026, at UPMC Chautauqua. She was born in Sheffield, PA on December 10, 1941, to the late Ben and Marjorie Anderson Johnson. Following high school, Ruth worked for many years, retiring from the then Blair Corporation which became New Process, as Secretary to the Vice President of Advertising. Knitting was Ruth’s lifelong passion, learning the skill at age 7. She always had something going in her hands, whether it was baby sweaters, quilts, mittens, or afghans.
