Jim and Oleta Hannon of Lakewood, N.Y. celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Oct. 22, 2016, with an open house at the American Legion on Fluvanna Avenue. The celebration was hosted by their family. They are the parents of Ron (Mary Jane) Brown of Falconer, N.Y., Randy (Janice) Brown of Jamestown, N.Y., and the late Diana Brown. They also have five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Hannon and the former Oleta Wickmark were married Oct. 22, 1966.

Hannon is retired from MRC Falconer plant. He is member of the Busti Trap Club and the AMVETS Post 50 Trap Club. Mrs. Hannon is retired from MRC Jamestown plant. She is a member of the Jamestown Bowling Association and has been inducted into the Jamestown Bowling Hall of Fame. They are both members of the Lakewood Rod & Gun, War Vets Recreation, American Legion Post 149 and the AMVETS Post 50.
