Bob and Marcia Brown of Jamestown, N.Y., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Aug. 20, 2016, with an anniversary party at the Viking Lake Lodge. The celebration was hosted by their children: Steve Brown of California, Md., Chris Brown of Victor, N.Y., Troy Brown of Baltimore, Md., and Amanda Brenon of Amherst, N.Y. They also have eight grandchildren: Tyler and Jeremy Brown, California, Md., Kyle Brown, Baltimore, Md. Rhea and Leela Brown, Victor, N.Y., and Parker, Ethan and Griffin Brenon,Amherst, N.Y. Members of the original wedding party that attended were Rola (Frank) Miller of Florida, sister and brother-in-law of the bride.

Brown and the former Marcia Adams were married Aug. 13, 1966, at the First Covenant Church. The Rev Charles Anderson performed the ceremony.

A U.S. Navy veteran, Brown had been employed by Brown Photocopy Co. Mrs. Brown had been employed by Quality Markets. They are members of First Covenant Church and the War Vets.
