CHAUTAUQUA — The Wednesday Travel League held its first major of the season, the U.S. Open, at Chautauqua Golf Club’s Hill Course. After the previous three events had been canceled/rescheduled due to weather conditions, league play was finally able to resume. Jeff Nelson was the overall winner after shooting the low round of 81. Josh Hilliker (83) and Ed Tofil (84) finished second and third, respectively. Nelson now has two major victories to his credit. Jake Harp and Dan Tofil led the front nine with 39s.
