The Jamestown Community College men's soccer team stayed perfect Saturday afternoon with a 4-1 NJCAA home win over Clinton CC at Strider Field. The Jayhawks’ Liam Doyle opened the scoring in the sixth minute as the sophomore won a scrum in front of the net before burying the opening goal for a 1-0 Jamestown CC advantage. Stephen Carlson had what he described as a “good camp” with the Chicago Bears this summer. In fact, the 6-foot-4, 250-pound tight end capped it Saturday night by making three receptions in the team’s 24-15 win at Tennessee in its final NFL preseason game. Josh Hilliker won with the low round of 79 and became the third golfer in league history to reach 70 career tour victories. Ed Tofil, the all-time leader with 118 wins, finished second with 82.
