Help The Lake, Don’t Just Beautify It
To The Reader’s Forum: I read with interest The Post-Journal’s Feb. 19 editorial on the fact that Lakewood’s supposed “Save The Lake Projects” are really mere beautifucations projects. I don’t mind money being spent on projects that will actually help the lake, but these won’t. The Lowe Rain Garden would be in an area that has little sedimentation, whereas there is great shoaling a few houses down due to the creek that empties there. I also object to the loss of business to the struggling businesses in the village that the Chautauqua Avenue projects would incur. ...
