Firefighters Quickly Douse Garage Fire

Jamestown firefighters quickly doused a garage fire Sunday evening. Crews were called at 7:45 p.m. to the fire in the area of 104 Willard St. Heavy smoke could be seen coming from the garage. The fire was knocked down in about five minutes. Officers with the Jamestown Police Department closed the immediate area to traffic while additional firefighters were summoned to help at the scene. The cause of the fire wasn’t known by press time. A vehicle inside the garage appears to have been damaged in the fire.
