JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

– Noel Luciano, 43, of Jamestown was charged with three counts of endangering the welfare of a child and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 12:06 p.m. Monday at a hotel on Jamestown’s west side. Accordion to a police report, officers responded to a report of children screaming and crying in a hotel room, Officers spoke with staff at the hotel, who told officers they heard the cries for about 40 minutes and checked on the children to find the mother sleeping. Hotel staff said they could not wake her up. Police report Luciano was allegedly abusing prescribed medications while under the influence of methamphetamine and fell asleep, reportedly leaving three children unattended. She will be in court later.

– Daniel M. Baird, a 48-year-old man who is reportedly homeless, was charged with second-degree criminal mischief, second-degree aggravated harassment and second-degree harassment at 9:23 p.m. Sunday after officers responded to UPMC Chautauqua for a reported disorderly man. Baird allegedly damaged $11,000 worth of medical equipment at the hospital and allegedly spit on two hospital employees before leaving the hospital. Police report Baird was found not far from the hospital and was then charged. Baird was held in the Jamestown City Jail and was later taken to the Chautauqua County Jail after arraignment.
