Harold R. Spinler
Harold R. Spinler, 89, of Cassadaga, passed away Tuesday Dec. 29, 2020, at Heritage Green R&S.N. Facility.
Born Oct. 21, 1931, in town of Charlotte, a son of the late Willie and Grace Collins Spinler.
A self-employed, life- long farmer, he owned and operated a farm on Hall Road, Cassadaga. Harold was a member and on the committee when Dairy men’s League changed to Dairylea, Farm Bureau, also a member of Cooperative Extension and in 1981 he was honored as Chautauqua County’s Conservation Farmer of the Year and New York States runner- up. Harold served on the Arkwright Town Board for 25 years and as deputy supervisor from 1992-2003.
Husband of 66 years to Adelaide Christy Spinler, whom he married Mar. 13, 1954; father of Kevin (Jan) Spinler, Patricia (Terry) Wilkens, Eric (Maria) Spinler and Karen (Jeff) Deering, all of Cassadaga, Beverly (Mark) Dickinson of Kabob, Keith (Wanda) Spinler of Steamberg, Debra (Norman) Edson of Staunton, Va., and Joanne (Bill) Moss of South Dayton; grandfather of 21 including the late Justin Deering; great-grandfather of 27; brother of the late, Mary Blood, Myrtle Penhollow, Helen Fain, Charles, Willie and Walter Spinler. Also survived by nieces and nephews.
Funeral services are private. A celebration of life will be announced at a later date. Burial In Burnham Hollow Cemetery, Arkwright.
