FORESTVILLE — Fredonia rallied from a 6-3 deficit and scored six runs in the top of the sixth inning to beat Forestville 10-6 in a nonleague softball playoff tuneup Monday. Ava Muck went 2 for 3 with a home run, a double and five RBIs while Gia Muscarella also hit a solo home run for the Hillbillies (14-3). Hornets Are Lone No. 1 Seed Locally

Forestville was the lone local school to earn a No. 1 seed as Section VI announced its softball playoff schedule Sunday. The Hornets will also have to wait the longest to attempt to defend their 2025 championship. No. 1 Forestville, which won Class D Section VI and Far West Regional titles last year, will host a semifinal against No. 4 Pine Valley at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 26.
