14U TRAVEL BASEBALL
Gavin Darr collected three hits as the Lakewood Gladiators defeated the Diamond Dawgs 19-0 in their first pool-play game during the Howie Briggs Memorial Tournament in the Cleveland, Ohio area.
Darr doubled in the third inning, singled in the first inning and singled in the fourth inning.
Lakewood scored 10 runs in the fourth inning on the way to victory. Broc Bryan drew a walk, scoring a run; Riley Lacross doubled, scoring two runs; Julian Jackson grounded out, scoring two runs; an error scored a run; Cole Fitzgerald singled, scoring two runs; Mason Degnan grounded out, scoring a run; and Wilson Genareo singled, scoring a run.
Jackson earned the win for the Gladiators. The right-hander surrendered a hit and zero runs over three innings, striking out eight and walking four.
Nick Langer took the loss for the Diamond Dawgs.
The Gladiators tallied 15 hits in the game. Fitzgerald went 2 for 3 with three RBIs. Milne, Genareo and Bryan each collected multiple hits.
Sam Mullen, Mason Noga, and Logan Land each collected a hit for the Diamond Dawgs.

In their second pool-play game, the Lakewood Gladiators defeated Release Ziance 9-6.
The Gladiators took the lead in the bottom of the first inning after Wilson Genareo doubled, Gavin Darr singled, Drake Beckstrom grounded out and Julian Jackson grounded out, each scoring a run.
A single by Mason Degnan extended the Gladiators’ lead to 5-1 in the bottom of the second inning.
Release Ziance took the lead in the top of the fifth. JT Hummer doubled, scoring two runs, to give his team a 6-5 lead.
The Gladiators regained the lead in the bottom of the fifth. Ryan Engquist singled, scoring three runs, to make it 8-6.
Engquist earned the win for the Gladiators. He surrendered six hits and five runs over four innings, striking out five and walking two.
Darr and Genareo each collected two hits for the Gladiators.

The Lakewood Gladiators outlasted the BHM Buckeyes 6-2, finishing pool play 3-0 and securing the No. 2 overall seed.
The Gladiators took a 2-1 lead in the top of the fourth, thanks to singles from Drake Beckstrom and Julian Jackson.
Beckstrom earned the win for the Gladiators. The right-hander gave up three hits and one run over five innings, striking out five and walking three.
Beckstrom led the Gladiators with three RBIs, going 2 for 4. Wilson Genareo went 3 for 4.

Broc Bryan drove in four runs on a pair of hits to lead the Lakewood Gladiators past the Erie Steelheads Santoro 18-0 to win the Howie Briggs Memorial Tournament.
Bryan hit an RBI single in the first inning and a three-run triple in the second inning.
The Gladiators got on the board in the top of the first inning after Bryan doubled, Drake Beckstrom singled and Gavin Weaver singled, each scoring a run.
The Gladiators scored nine runs on five hits in the top of the second inning. Bryan tripled, scoring three runs; an error scored a run; Weaver singled, scoring three runs; Karson Milne doubled, scoring a run; and Mason Degnan grounded out, scoring a run.
The Gladiators added to their early lead in the top of the third inning after Riley Lacross singled, Julian Jackson walked, Weaver walked, Milne grounded out, Cole Fitzgerald grounded out and Degnan doubled, each scoring a run.
Lacross earned the win for the Gladiators, giving up five hits and zero runs over three innings, striking out three and walking two.
The Gladiators piled up 11 hits in the game. Weaver and Bryan each collected two hits with four RBIs.

SENIOR DIVISION
Austin Ribaudo threw a five-inning no-hitter with five strikeouts as Southwestern Blue beat Randolph 11-0.
Alex Watkins and Alex Piazza had a pair of hits apiece, while Corbin Dennison had a two-run single for Southwestern Blue.

Southwestern Blue beat Dunkirk 11-1 as four pitchers combined on a one-hitter.
The offense was led by Ryan Wakeley with two hits, including a double, while Austin Ribaudo, Logan Johnson and Owen Walburg each added a pair of hits.

The Southwestern Gladiators defeated the WNY Prospects 16-6 and Southline 6-5, while also losing to Hamburg 5-4 and EMW Tribe 10-6.
In the win over the WNY Prospects, Ethan Smrekar had a double and three RBIs, Brysen Thayer had two singles, Andrew Cama had a double, Jeramie Rodriguez had a single and two RBIs, Tage Mazzurco and Alexander Olson each had a single, and Evan Lescynski added two RBIs.
In the win over Southline, Gage Olmsted had a double and a single with three RBIs, Bennett Larson had a double and an RBI, Nolan Truver, Austin Bushey and Lescynski each had a single, and Remington Smith added an RBI.
In the loss to Hamburg, Smith had a single and three RBIs, Rodriguez had a double, and Bushey and Lescynski each had a single.
In the loss to EMW Tribe, Mazzurco had a double and two singles with two RBIs, Ryan Burnett, Larson, Smrekar and Olmsted each had a single, and Rodriguez added an RBI.
