Loberg Hits Wolfpack’s First HR Of Season

SHERMAN — A four-run second inning helped Clymer/Sherman/Panama get by Brocton 7-1 in nonleague softball Monday.

Kiera Loberg hit the Wolfpack’s first home run of the season and Addie Wiggers added a double and an RBI. Caylee Pinzok and Jessica Lyon also drove in runs for Clymer/Sherman/Panama (3-1).

Lyon tossed a complete-game five-hitter with six strikeouts in the circle for the Wolfpack.

Zoe Spiller homered and Victoria Battaglia had two hits for the Bulldogs (1-6).

Nevaeh Hebner threw a complete game with five strikeouts in the circle.

FREDONIA ROLLS SILVER CREEK

FREDONIA — Delaney Artrip connected for two hits and finished with three RBIs as Fredonia defeated Silver Creek 6-1 in nonleague play.

Anna Delcamp earned the win in the circle for Fredonia (6-1), giving up just six hits and striking out eight, while Gia Muscarella added two more hits at the plate.

Silver Creek (4-2) was led by Kyla Ziegler with two hits and the only RBI, while Rylee Weiskerger added two hits, including a double, and Maddy Blair struck out five batters and gave up nine hits.

RED DRAGONS DOWN COUGARS

BEMUS POINT — Meg Ryan struck out seven batters, walked three and gave up just two hits as Maple Grove defeated Cassadaga Valley 15-3 in six innings of Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 2 action.

Adarah Egan knocked three hits, including a double, and four RBIs for the Red Dragons (2-4, 1-2) and Savannah Weart, Savannah Rambacher and Megan McGee all doubled.

Catie Russell and Chelsea Johnson combined pitching duties with four strikeouts, four walks, four hit batters and 13 hits against for Cassadaga Valley (0-4, 0-4).

RED & GREEN EARN FIRST WIN

FREWSBURG — Both Emily Maggio and Alyvia Remington stroked three doubles and a single while scoring three times as Jamestown rolled Frewsburg 17-2 in nonleague action.

Aiyanna Stam added a single and a walk, scoring twice for the Red & Green (1-4). Maggio earned the win in the circle with two strikeouts and three walks.

Ryleigh Eckman singled and scored for Frewsburg (1-4). Marleigh Stappenbeck was hit by a pitch and scored, and Kaylee Melquist recorded a strikeout and four walks in the circle.

PORTVILLE DOMINATES T’WOLVES

CATTARAUGUS — Ella Warters struck out 10 batters and gave up just one hit in five innings of work as Portville rolled Cattaraugus-Little Valley 14-0 in six innings of Division 4 action.

Warters hit two doubles and drove in two runs for Portville (5-3, 2-3). Bella Morales added another RBI and hit a triple, and Autumn Baker drove in a pair of runs.

Carly Preston went 2 for 3 for Cattaraugus-Little Valley (0-7, 0-5).

EAGLES POUND OUT 16 HITS

DUNKIRK — Kinslee Motter had three of Chautauqua Lake’s 16 hits in a 14-4 nonleague win over Dunkirk.

Motter drove in four runs and scored three times; Lucy Ulsh doubled, tripled, drove in three runs and scored three times; Alice Scarpine had two hits, including a double, two RBIs and two runs scored; Lucy Gates had two hits, including a double, an RBI and three runs scored; Makenna Ryberg had two hits, including a double, and an RBI; and Macy Ulsh doubled and scored a run for the Eagles (6-0).

Macy Ulsh struck out 10 in the circle for Chautauqua Lake.

For the Marauders (2-6), Maria Dolce hit a two-run home run and a sacrifice fly while Paige Perry doubled.
