Clymer Central names Students of Quarter

CLYMER – Clymer Central School officials recently announced the school’s “Pirate Pride” Students of the Fourth Quarter.

The Student of the Quarter for kindergarten through third grades is second grader Tazmyn Troup, daughter of Nicholas and Kayla Troup. Her favorite subject in school is art. After school, Tazmyn likes to play outside on the farm. Her hobbies include reading, making art and watching TV. She is really good at dancing. Tazmyn shows kindness at home by sharing with her brothers and helping with chores. Tazmyn’s hero is her dad because he makes good food and works hard. When Tazmyn grows up, she wants to be a librarian.

The Student of the Quarter for fourth through sixth grades is fourth grader Raymond Ingerson, grandson of Timothy and Peggilee Haley. Raymond’s favorite thing to do in school is gym. After school, Raymond likes to play outside. His favorite hobby is playing football. In addition to his hobby, Raymond is really good at basketball. He shows kindness at home by helping with the chores. Raymond’s hero is his dad because he is helping shape the person Raymond is becoming. When Raymond grows up, he wants to be a basketball player.

The Student of the Quarter for seventh through ninth grades is ninth grader Mikaela Jackson, daughter of Bethany and Doug Jackson. Mikaela’s school activities include volleyball, basketball, softball, FFA and student council. Some awards Miakela has earned have been student of the quarter in first grade, honorable mention for volleyball and high honor roll. She has been a competitive dancer for 10 years and attends church weekly. Her hobbies include sports, feeding calves, summer leagues, fishing, hanging out with family and friends, and working with her dad on the farm. When Mikaela graduates, she plans on becoming a vet but has not fully decided yet.

The Student of the Quarter for 10th through 12th grades is senior Olivia Dellamora, the daughter of Sara and Brian Sullivan and John Dellamora. Olivia’s school activities include six years of volleyball, two years of track and basketball, four years of softball, SADD, Social Justice club, Student Council, NHS and band. She also participates in teen mission camp, youth group, is a Findley Lake Community Center volunteer and volunteers with the 5&2 ministry. Olivia has received the St. Bonaventure Scholarship, RIT Scholarship, Presidential Scholarship for Geneseo and the John Philip Sousa award. Outside of school, Olivia’s hobbies include volleyball, running, singing, youth group, volunteering, piano and guitar. When Olivia graduates, she plans on attending the State University at Geneseo to study neuroscience.
