Jaydian Johnson had a season to remember.

His postseason is shaping up pretty nicely, too.

Fresh off a trip with his Jamestown teammates to the New York State Public High School Athletic Association Class AA final four in Glens Falls earlier this month, the junior guard has also received honors from the Erie County Interscholastic Conference.

In leading the Red & Green to an ECIC Division 1 championship, Johnson was not only named the league Player of the Year, but he was also selected the overall ECIC POY, an honor that includes five divisions.

In 26 games, Johnson averaged 19 points, 5.1 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 2.2 steals. He shot 45.5% from the field and 75% from the foul line, and made 50 3-point field goals. His 115 assists are 11th on Jamestown’s single-season list and his 56 steals are tied for 19th all-time. For his career, he has scored 792 points, which is 19th on the school’s all-time list; collected 199 assists (14th all-time); made 102 steals (20th all-time); and drilled 104 3-pointers (eighth all-time).

Johnson wasn’t the only Jamestown player to receive postseason accolades from ECIC Division 1 as sophomore Dominic Gonzalez and senior Bishop Butts were selected to the Second Team, while sophomore Elijah Farmer was an honorable-mention choice.

Gonzalez averaged 13.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, 2.8 assists and 1.5 steals; Butts averaged 10 points and 6.1 rebounds, and blocked 65 shots; and Farmer averaged 8.2 points and 5.8 rebounds.

Following are the other ECIC Division 1 All-Star selections from Jamestown’s rival schools:

First Team: Matt LaRusch, Frontier; Chris McDonald, Orchard Park; Nate Errington, Frontier; and Sean Gilmartin, Clarence.

Second Team: Stash Foster, Williamsville North, Cullen Colpoys, Orchard Park; and Channing Francis, Lancaster.

Honorable Mention: Deacon Fischer, Orchard Park; Chase Dade, Williamsville North; Brett Erbacher, Clarence; Greg Erbacher, Clarence; and Kian Bennett, Frontier.
