Randolph’s Adams Hits 1,000-Kill Milestone

RANDOLPH — Senior Eve Adams had 36 kills and eclipsed 1,000 for her career as Randolph swept Silver Creek 25-12, 25-11, 25-20 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association East Division girls volleyball Wednesday.
Adams also had 11 digs and two aces; Donnilynn Sheldon had six kills, three aces and two digs; Aliza Hind had 40 assists, two aces and three digs; and Avery Morrison had eight digs for the Cardinals (12-2, 11-0).
The Black Knights fell to 5-8 overall and 3-8 in the league.
PANAMA TAKES MARATHON
SHERMAN — Panama let a 2-0 lead get away, but rallied in the fifth set for a 25-21, 25-14, 19-25, 22-25, 15-8 Division 2 West win over Clymer/Sherman.

Sarah Harvey led the Panthers (14-1, 12-0) with 18 kills, eight digs and a block while Kiera Loberg had 39 assists and 10 digs. Kylie Morgan chipped in 11 kills and four digs.
Alexys Neckers had 23 kills and 15 digs; Janelle Burchanowski had 20 assists and four digs; and Lily Martin had 17 digs, two kills and two aces for the Wolves (8-6, 7-5).
WESTFIELD WINS
WESTFIELD — Behind four kills, 24 assists, four digs, five aces and four blocks by Tanleigh Bestine, Westfield downed Maple Grove 25-10, 21-25, 25-10, 25-18 in a Division 2 West match.
Keara Kincaid added 12 kills, 11 digs, five aces and one block; and Drew Ernewein contributed three kills, three assists, seven digs, three aces and one block for the Wolverines (8-4, 7-4) on Senior Night.
For the Red Dragons (5-8, 4-7), Lily Benedetto registered one kill, 17 digs and one ace; Hannah Benson contributed four kills, six digs and one ace; and Ellery Yohe chipped in 19 digs.
BROCTON PREVAILS
FORESTVILLE — Brocton improved to 4-10 overall and 1-8 in the division following a 22-25, 25-18, 25-23, 25-17 win over Forestville.
For the Bulldogs, Evie Morrison had two kills, eight assists, five blocks and two aces; Andrea Spiller added six kills, three assists, six blocks, one ace and two digs; Zoe Spiller collected five kills, two blocks and six aces; and Grace Lundin chipped in 12 digs.
For the Hornets (4-10, 2-9), Rylee Burnett contributed two kills, three aces, three digs and 20 points; Megan Gruber recorded two kills, two blocks, two aces and four digs; Carilene Sliwa had seven kills, one assist, four blocks, four aces and three digs; and Hannah Fox added two assists and two digs.
THUNDERBIRDS SWEEP
SINCLAIRVILLE — Six girls had at least four kills for Chautauqua Lake in a 25-8, 25-13, 25-20 Division 2 West sweep of Cassadaga Valley.
Jeanine Group had six kills and two aces; Sydney Williams had five kills and two digs; Brynn Engdahl had five kills, four aces and three digs; Ava Olson had four kills, six digs and nine assists; Bre Smith had four kills; and Noli Paddock had four kills and three blocks for the Thunderbirds (10-2, 10-2).
Hailey Myers and Emiley Anderson each had five kills while Jazmin Debo had four aces and five assists for the Cougars (1-13, 1-9).
EDEN TRIMS GOWANDA
EDEN — Gowanda won the second set, but dropped a nonleague match to Eden 25-15, 22-25, 25-13, 29-27.
Corrina John led the Panthers (12-3) with six kills, nine blocks and four digs; Addison Kota had four kills, two blocks, 18 digs and three assists; Holland Browning had 29 digs, four kills and an ace; Jillian Gernatt had 21 assists, seven digs, two kills and an ace; Ella Luther had 24 digs; and Lauren Kelly had three kills, nine blocks and a dig.
HAYNES, BENTLEY POWER PORTVILLE
PORTVILLE — Ava Haynes had 15 kills and Lillian Bentley had 12 kills as Portville swept Falconer 25-6, 25-15, 25-10 in Division 1 West action.
Adelyn Walker had 33 assists and Mia Rhinehart had 20 digs for the Panthers (13-1, 12-0).
The Golden Falcons fell to 13-2 overall and 9-2 in the league.
TUESDAY
HILLBILLIES FALL
WEST ELLICOTT — Southwestern beat Fredonia 25-19, 22-25, 25-10, 25-17 in Division 1 West play Tuesday.
For Fredonia (3-8, 3-7), Elizabeth Morris had five kills and 11 digs; Londyn Wilmot registered two aces, three kills and three blocks; Kaylen Rollins contributed three aces, four kills and four digs; and Katherine Fortna added four kills and three blocks.
