Panama, Falconer Open Season With Road Victories

The Panama Panthers opened the volleyball season with a 3-1 nonleague victory over Jamestown at McElrath Gymnasium on Wednesday.
The Panthers (1-0) were led by Sarah Harvey with 12 digs and seven kills, Kiera Loberg had four kills, 21 assists and 10 digs, and Sharayah Fuller added nine kills.
Standing out for Jamestown (0-1) was Betty Tubbs with 14 digs, while Mattea Spitzer and Avery Salvaggio had six assists each.
The Jamestown jayvees won 2-1.

SINCLAIRVILLE — Falconer swept Cassadaga Valley in three sets, 25-3, 25-15, 25-13, in a nonleague match on Wednesday.
Falconer (1-0) was led by Hannah Melquist with 22 assists, seven aces and three kills; Emily Zaranek had 11 kills, five aces and six digs; Augustine Krenzer had nine kills; and Nylah Sharpe had 25 digs and two aces.
Hailey Myers had two kills, a block and eight digs, while Emily Anderson had an ace, four blocks and three digs for Cassadaga Valley (0-1).
