Pictured above is the fifth and sixth grade Money Green in the Tom Buttafaro Youth Basketball League at the Jamestown YMCA. The league recently opened its season with Money Green defeating Southwestern 1 in a thriller. Southwestern 1 was ahead 17-5 at halftime when Money Green’s defense held Southwestern 1 to 5 points in the second half with Isaiah Torres taking over the game with 10 points, including the winning basket. Also scoring for Money Green was Max Miley with 6 points and the game-winning steal and assist to Torres. Blake Swanson finished with 6 points, four steals; Liam Walker had 2 points with two steals; and Dominic Jones had two steals and one assist. Games are held at the Jamestown YMCA on Saturdays.
