UPDATE: This story has been updated to clarify the status of land sold in Clymer. A story in the Saturday edition of The Post-Journal included the real estate transfer of land at 8926 W. Main St., Clymer. That sale only affects the land occupied by LandPro Equipment. The business itself is not affected.

A former restaurant in Jamestown and the land housing a tractor dealership in Clymer were among million dollar sales in early March.

The Post-Journal and OBSERVER have been analyzing real estate sales in Chautauqua County and recently looked at the transactions from March 1-10.

During that time period, Afmil Realty, LLC of Bedford, NY sold 10 S. Main St., Jamestown to TH Jamestown, LLC of Miami, Fla. for $1.7 million. That is the location of the former Jimmy’s Restaurant and was previously Friendly’s.

The Post-Journal previously reported that the owner of several local Tim Hortons franchises in the Jamestown and Olean area is looking to build a new 2,700-square-foot store at that location. Construction on the new coffee shop appears to be underway with an opening date of late August or early September. When that location opens, the Tim Hortons across the street will be closed.

Demolition has begun on the former Friendly’s Restaurant. After Friendly’s closed, the restaurant reopened as Jimmy’s Family Restaurant before it closed a few months later. The restaurant is being torn down so a new, bigger Tim Horton’s can be built there. Photo by Michael Smoker

Also during that time period, JJRN Properties, LLC of Malibu, Calif. sold 8926 West Main St., Clymer to Dev Dadlani, LLC of Jersey City, NJ for $1,750,000. That is the location of LandPro Equipment.

According to the company website, “as the leading dealer of John Deere Ag & Turf, Compact Construction Equipment, and Commercial Mowers, LandPro Equipment … offers a big selection of farm equipment, commercial landscaping machinery, lawn and garden equipment, and compact construction equipment.”

There were other commercial sales as well.

137 East Pearl St., Westfield was sold to Westfield Boatworks, LLC of Westfield for $140,000. The Post-Journal and OBSERVER previously reported that the former Bestway Container Service building would be the site of a new boat repair and detailing shop.
