Curling Leagues
Following are the Week Three results from the Northwest Arena Fall Backyard Curling Leagues sponsored by Dot’s Gift Boutique.
5:45 JEREMY’S BEL-VIEW MONDAY LEAGUE
Fruit of the Brooms flew into first place with great performances from Pete Snyder. They took down Scuba Crew 51-40 and got past the Stone Cold Maidens 25-15.
The Legion of Broom had a perfect night with Todd Frangione guiding them to victory. Scores of 12, 9 and 8 in the final three ends elevated them over the Drunken Sliders 43-25. They also fended off a late push from TRCurlers in a 42-39 classic.
Shoeless Joe’s Pub managed to win both games in record-breaking fashion thanks to Rich Tyger and Theresa Jackson in a 64-38 victory over Haggy’s Booze Haggz, along with getting a statement win versus Scuba Crew 49-40.
TRCurlers were led by Kevin Anderson in their 45-36 victory over Team Celsius.
Stone Cold Maidens slid past Team Fahrenheit 25-22 in the first slate. Julie Korban was the star of the evening.
Drunken Sliders and Jennifer Baudo regrouped after the first match to knock off Team Fahrenheit 38-30.
Team Celsius was the final team to record a win in Week 3. Lisa Bryan led them to a win over Haggy’s Booze Haggz 21-18.
6:45 JEREMY’S BEL-VIEW MONDAY LEAGUE
Snow Good at This picked up two monumental wins behind Leigh Anne Hendrick. She escorted her squad to a 28-26 victory over Kia Curlers and a 33-21 win against The Rock Blockers.
Steve Arnold and Kathy Geary turned things around for the Pickle Pushers, who got their first two wins of the season. They handled both the Galbatos 25-7 and BLATTS 27-8.
Short & Curly came out on top of first-place teams as they defeated Stone Cold Curlers 46-36. Jamie Smith was able to engineer the win for his team.
Stone Cold Curlers and Craig Merchant bounced back as they came out in a big way in their second matchup against the Galbatos 54-26.
Kim Splain and Kia Curlers got it together and edged Glass House Gang 37-30.
Jordan Goold was able to sneak by Short & Curly 26-24.
Glass House Gang put up some points, but only came away with one win. Scott Beresford managed the Gang to a 35-24 triumph over Honest Abe.
The Rock Blockers found their footing in a tough league as the newcomer. Kenneth Kaltenbach and the team knocked out BLATTS 35-31.

WEDNESDAY LEAGUE
Max and Kym Eimiller hurled Slone Melhuish into first place by defeating Girls with Stones 42-33 and Curl Jam 40-30.
Golfers on Ice laid up nice shots in their two wins against Hindy’s Hurlers 35-30 and Girls with Stones 45-20.
Gren’s Growlers got to .500 on the year as they edged Curl Jam 37-32 and moved past Hindy’s Hurlers 41-37.

WEDNESDAY LEAGUE
Adam Panebianco was the star of the 6:30 league. The young man from In the House had an outstanding performance in their win against the A&P’s 41-38. He had the game-winning shot in overtime that elevated his team to victory.
Nick Kahanic and The Brush Offs continued their perfect season as they snuffed out Smokin’ Rocks 37-29 as well as dominating the A&P’s 38-17.
12-Ounce Curlers remain neck and neck with the Brush Offs as the other remaining unbeaten. Kevin Gastol captained the ship in two lopsided victories over The Rolling Stones 48-27 and Got Stones 45-28.
Jeremy Holland and his Jamestown Hammers acquired two wins Wednesday night. They cruised past We’ve Got the Stones 47-23 and found a way to fend off In the House 22-17 in a barnburner.
Molly Gustafson extended her electric season for the Icemen. Their curling was clicking in a triumph against Perfect Stones 46-32 and they put We’ve Got the Stones to bed 45-16.
Lorie Runge and the Rolling Stones put together a fiery comeback in a 31-17 outing with Smokin’ Rocks.
Got Stones received consistent curling from Travis Higgs as they took care of Cold as Ice 36-28. Cold as Ice got their revenge thanks to Nancy Anderson in a 39-27 conquest of Perfect Stones.

WEDNESDAY LEAGUE
Stone Cold Sippers were the only multiple-win team on the evening. They did so with Eric Rinaldo leading the way in tight matches with Home Despots 29-27 and Barney’s Hoof Trimming 29-24.
12-Ounce Curlers remain atop the league thanks to point differential. Eric Scolton commanded the Curlers in a 35-19 win over Draw a Blank.
Summer Wolcott harnessed her Curl Power in a high-powered matchup with Dot’s Gift Boutique 35-22.
Dan Davis and Dot’s Gift Boutique executed better in the next game to beat the Ice Holers 28-23.
Gerald Carlson had some clutch stones in a 36-34 comeback when Home Despots were matched up with Curl Power.
Jill O’Brien and Draw a Blank showed they do not crack under pressure. One point in the last end was all it took to beat Curls Gone Wild 22-21.
Barney’s Hoof Trimming delivered a 34-26 victory against Pace’s Aces behind Darren Anderson.
Pace’s Aces upset the top-seeded 12-Ounce Curlers thanks to Kris Sellstrom 34-27. That marks the Aces’ first win.
John Lyon and Curt Wood knocked off Pace’s Special for the Ice Holers 29-22.
4:30 RYAN DEPPAS/LEGEND GROUP FRIDAY LEAGUE
Robinson Law Office won two tight games 40-39 versus Sweeping Beauties and 33-30 against Premier Listings with Andrew and Neil Robinson showing their outstanding stickwork.
2 Curls & 1 Cup secured two wins against Tracey’s Dog 37-29 and newcomers DH } SH 39-38, with Jake Muntz leading the way.
Lions and Bears posted two wins, behind strong play from Bert and Mary Rappole.
Always Late topped Premier Listings 45-32 as Laura Snow was their leading curler.
Judy Briggs led Sweeping Beauties past Seminar Group 38-35.
Bob Paterniti and Nick Lucas paired up nicely as Tracey’s Dog defeated Cold Beer Here 42-40.
