The Falconer Golden Falcons tennis team swept singles competition to defeat Southwestern 3-2 in Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association action on Wednesday.

Falconer’s Angelina Fiasco narrowly defeated Southwestern’s Elizabeth Kane in first singles, winning two matches in tiebreakers 3-6, 7-6 (9-7), 7-6 (11-9). Riley Farrugello took second singles again with a tiebreaker being necessary against Erika Pickard 4-6, 6-2, 7-6 (9-7). Myla Brainard sealed the victory for Falconer as she beat Abby Strother 6-4, 6-2.

Southwestern swept the doubles competition with the duo of Janmanshi Padhya and Olivia Allen defeating Falconer’s Rachael Swanson and Jerzie Smith 6-1, 6-3 in first doubles. The pair of Audrey Delong and Danielle Mincarelli earned Southwestern’s second point beating Jay Miller and Mia Vandevelde 6-1, 6-0.
