Randolph and Gowanda split the Chautauqua-Cattaraugus Athletic Association Division 1 East softball title this spring.

Fittingly, the Cardinals and Panthers have each had three girls named First Team All-Stars in the league.

Randolph juniors Kendall Steward and Kyra Pence were joined by freshman teammate while Gowanda senior Cameron Nagel, junior Wassy Stevens and eighth-grader Addison Kota on the First Team.

Steward was named the league’s Player of the Year.

Silver Creek junior Kaylee Hutchison was named the league’s Pitcher of the Year and joined on the First Team by junior teammate Caitlyn Rice.

Brocton sophomore Julia Miller and senior Savanna Krystofiak, Pine Valley senior Trista Farnham and junior Ashley Campbell, and Forestville freshmen Megan Gruber and Jade Work rounded out the First Team.

Pine Valley was honored with the Team Sportsmanship Award and Panthers senior Sydney Dahl was their individual honoree. Other honorees for sportsmanship were: Brocton senior Lorin Rizzo, Forestville sophomore Jenna Emerson, Silver Creek sophomore Laneya Olsen, Randolph sophomore Kayden O’Neill and Nagel.
