Jackals Split Weekend Games
The Jamestown Jackals split their weekend games with Flint United in The Basketball League, falling 129-126 in overtime on Saturday and winning 112-106 on Sunday at the Physical Education Complex at Jamestown Community College.
On Saturday, Luther Page led six players in double figures with 26 points; Tyron Hamby had 22; Jahlil Rawley and Malik Ellison both had 19; and Roger Hood chipped in 12 for the winners.
Seven Jackals reached double figures, led by Rene Castro with 23 points. The others were Bernard Edwards with 21; Thomas Garrick with 19; Zakeem Davis with 16; Eric Mack with 15; and Glenroy Carr Jr. and Jonathan Lee with 12 and 10 respectively.
Mack also pulled down 15 rebounds and Carr Jr. had 10.
The Jackals (3-1) rebounded nicely on Sunday with a six-point win over Flint United.
Mack and Castro led the way with 20 points apiece; Lee and Garrick had 19 each; and Davis chipped in 11.
Page paced Flint (2-2) with 18, Rawley and Ellison both had 17; Tommie McCune had 13; Keenan Coleman added 12; and Hamby chipped in 11.
The Jackals return to action Friday and Saturday at the Detroit Hustle.
