MAYVILLE — Chautauqua Lake opened its season with a 6-0 nonleague boys soccer victory over Salamanca/Cattaraugus-Little Valley.

Carson D’Anthony led the way offensively as he scored a hat trick and assisted on another goal. Ian Riedesel also grabbed a goal and an assist, Devin Putney and Jalen Parkhurst both scored one goal, and Caleb Prewitt and Elias Quintero each had an assist.

Chautauqua Lake (1-0) is back in action on Friday when it hosts Jamestown for another nonleauge game. Salamanca/Cattaraugus-Little Valley (0-2) will try to get into the win column for its next game on Tuesday at home against Ellicottville.
