Salamanca Boys Fall To Olean, 60-46

SALAMANCA — Jason Brooks scored 21 points and Olean played strong defense from start to finish to carry it past Salamanca, 60-46, in a nonleague basketball game Wednesday night.

Kaleb Ramadhan added 12 points and Zion James had 10 for the Huskies.

“Credit Olean,” Warriors coach Adam Bennett said. “They played 32 minute of solid defense. We kept the game at the pace we wanted for about three quarters, but we weren’t able to sustain it late in the game. They made a few runs in the fourth quarter where they hit key shots in transition that enabled them to pull away.”

Jarod White led Salamanca with 18 points, Lucas McKenna had 9, Jarrett Pond had 8 and Lucus Brown added 7.

“I’m proud of our guys for their effort,” Bennett said. “We did a lot of good things. But, ultimately, we didn’t get the job done and that’s disappointing.”
