VanArsdale, Meleen, Conti Share Bowling Spotlight

Justin VanArsdale and Mark Meleen both surpassed the 750 series plateau and Chris Conti was one pin shy of a perfect game to highlight Thursday night action in the Classic Doubles League at Jamestown Bowling Company.

VanArsdale smashed a 238-258-279-775 for Zamborik-VanArsdale; Meleen hit a 247-266-246-759 for Bowler’s Corner; and Chris Conti had a 299 game on his way to a 712 series for Dom’s Mobil.

In other top scores from that league, Jim Mee fired a 278-238-715 for GameTime; Tom Lester shot a 268-234-704 for Midnite Towing; John Williams Jr. rolled a 231-247-702 for Southern Tier; Mark Blasdell had a 230-246-693 for John Nelson Construction; and Dan Gould registered a 257-244-683 and Andy Proctor had a 236-237-678, both for Harmony Sheet Metal.

Leading the way for the women was Heather Lyon, who shot a 254-645. In the same league, Joe Jagoda rolled a 259 game, Ryan Colburn had a 258 and Jeff Wadsworth had a 254.

Adam Newhouse smashed a 279 game and Alton Wethli had a 258 at Cutting Lanes.

In the Schutt’s Arctic Cat League at JBC, John Robbins hit a 269-246-697 and Chris Goodwill rolled a 237-258-692.
