LAKEWOOD — After a full day of tennis doubles action at the Lakewood YMCA, four teams will remain for today’s semifinals.
Filip Morawski and teammate Thomas Bates of Olean advanced in straight sets and will now take on Carson Heimburg and Elliot Jackson of Panama.
Heimburg and Jackson prevailed, 6-7, 6-2, 6-2, over Porter DeMink and Kampbell Howard of Maple Grove in quarterfinal action.
In the other semifinal, Dan Gifford and Jimmy Rush will meet teammates Max Kinkela and Caleb Reynolds, with Fredonia guaranteed to place at least one team in the finals.
