Rebels Lose, 2-1, In Overtime

MIDDLETOWN, N.J. — Max Wiseman’s goal at the 2:50 mark in overtime sent New Jersey to a 2-1 victory over Jamestown in a North American Hockey League game Saturday at Middletown Ice World Arena.

The Titans took a 1-0 lead at the 7:13 mark of the second period on a goal by Kyle Jeffers, but the Rebels tied it on Alex Frye’s 13th goal, assisted by Colin Schmidt and Jim Glynn at the 8:50 mark of the third period.

The score remained that way until Wiseman’s game winner, courtesy of an assist by Jeffers.

Ryan Winter recorded the win between the pipes, finishing with 31 saves. Noah West topped 28 shots for Jamestown.

The two teams meet again this afternoon.
