Southwestern And Jamestown Boys Golf Teams Prevail

Southwestern’s boys golf team was led by Jake Hnatyszyn’s 39 on Wednesday at Maplehurst Country Club, picking up a 37-18 win over Falconer (2-7, 2-7).

David Allen led the Golden Falcons with a 42, while Max Vaughn shot 41 and Drake Bell had 46.

Falconer (18): David Allen 42, Alex Reynolds 61, Curtis Hannon 64, Alex Lillie 65, Evan Reynolds 69, K.J. Waddington 70.

Southwestern (37): Jake Hnatyszyn 39, Max Vaughn 41, Drake Bell 46, Evan Christensen 47, Brady Fye 54, McKay Young 56.

In the girls match, Ellicottville was a 30.5-24.5 winner over Southwestern (4-2, 4-2) at Maplehurst Country Club.

Josephine Corey shot 50 for the Trojans, as did Allyson Fischer for the winners to share medalist honors.

Molly Gustafson fired a 51 for Southwestern and Ellicottville had Brooke Eddy shoot 54.

RAIDERS WIN AGAIN

RANDOLPH — Jamestown was a 32-23 winner over Olean (5-9, 3-5) at Cardinal Hills Golf Course, and the Red Raiders are now 8-0 in league play and 11-0 overall after a 30.5-24.5 win over host Randolph.

The Cardinals (11-3, 8-1) prevailed 29-26 in the third match.

Anthony Gullo was the medalist for the Red Raiders with a 37, while Branson Morrison shot 39 for the Cardinals and Kamdyn McClain 41 for Olean.

Caden Salvaggio shot 42 for Jamestown and Ty Rosengren fired a 46 for Randolph.
