Stockwell Leads JHS Girls To Win At West Seneca West

WEST SENECA — Jamestown put it together at both ends of the court in the third quarter to propel it to a 60-40 victory over West Seneca West in an Erie County Interscholastic Conference Division 1 basketball game Saturday.

Allie Stockwell led the way with 19 points and five rebounds, Macey Lundmark added 12 points and four assists, and Taylor Evan had 12 ponts and four boards as Jamestown raised its record to 5-5 overall and 2-1 in the division.

Leading by just a point, 23-22, at halftime, the Lady Red Raiders went on a 16-2 run in the third quarter to gain a comfortable lead.

The Lady Red Raiders survived a sloppy first quarter — they trailed 8-5 — and took the one-point lead at the break, thanks to Stockwell, who scored 13 of her points, including a pair of treys, in the second quarter.

Kaitlyn Bennett turned in a fine all-around game, finishing with six points, four rebounds and three steals.

The loss dropped West Seneca West to 2-5 and 0-3.
