Kinetix Combat Sports and Fitness of Jamestown recently hosted a two-day Muay Thai Seminar, featuring Grandmaster Surachai Sirisute Ajarn Chai, founder and president of the Thai Boxing Association of the United States. Chai has approximately 20,000 students in 16 countries around the world. The event was promoted by Kru Mark Shaw, full instructor under Chai of the TBA of the U.S. and head Muay Thai instructor at Kinetix Combat Sports. Last week, three of Kru Mark’s students tested for black Prajiad and were bestowed the title of “Kru,” which can only be given by Chai in the TBA of the U.S. The students are Josh Roth of Falconer and Anthony Durnell of Pittsburgh.
