Ronald Allen Bowen

Ronald Allen Bowen, 84, of West Perimeter Road, Steamburg, town of Coldspring, passed away on Monday, April 29, 2024 at home of natural causes.

He was born Oct. 22, 1939 in Gowanda, NY, son of the late Elwood and Ella Rose (Redeye) Bowen.

He was a graduate of Warren Area High School and was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians Wolf Clan. Ron retired from Monofrax, Inc. in Falconer and had also worked in Construction and at High Banks Camp Ground in Steamburg. He enjoyed archery, fishing and hunting and he also played semi-professional football.

He is survived by his adopted son, Ronald (fiance’ Kristen Wolfe) Honey, three sons, Richard (Mary) Pierce and Bennett (Noreen) Pierce all of Napoli, and Vernon Pierce Sr. of Steamburg; two daughters, Regina Annells of Warren, Pa., and Tina (Patrick) Hodges of Virginia; 12 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara J. (Warren) Bowen in 2017, a daughter, Wanda Lobb, a grandson, Wayne Wilson a daughter-in-law, Carlen Pierce, a brother Merwin Maybee and maternal grandparents, Chester Redeye and Lucinda Yellow Blanket.

The family will receive family and friends from 10 a.m to noon, Monday, May 6, 2024, at the VanRensselaer & Son Funeral Home, 14 Church St., Randolph. Funeral services will follow at noon. Burial/Inurnment will be in the Corydon Riverview Corn Planter Cemetery, Corydon, Pa.
