Carmen “Lydia” Ruiz
Lydia was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Jorge Ruiz Sr., of whom she spoke of everyday. She dedicated her life to her family and faith. She is survived by five children Jorge (Denise) Ruiz, Carmen (John) Bumpus, Sam (Jacqueline) Ruiz, Awilda Ruiz, and Nelida Ruiz; five grandchildren: Kelly (Dana) Davis, Melissa (Andrew) Buchanan, Antonio (Ashley McCollum) Przepiora, Samantha Ruiz and Michael Ruiz; two great-grandchildren: Andy and Esan Buchanan; nephew and niece: Raul and Zoraida Ruiz and many other dear ones.
She was born in Puerto Rico and moved to Canandaigua, New York after raising her family in Jamestown, NY. Lydia loved flowers, babies, reading her bible and cooking for others. Her food will be remembered by the many people she fed. She was able to spend her last years traveling and spending time with family and friends.
A memorial will be held at a later date.
