Sean L. Kilmartin II

He was born December 21, 1995 in Jamestown, the son of Sean L. and Susan M. Grover Kilmartin. Sean was a graduate of Falconer High School and Jamestown Community College, where he earned an associates degree in Media Art. He was currently employed by Home Depot in Erie, PA and was also a freelance Photographer and Videographer. He was formerly the photographer for the Jamestown Jackals and Jamestown Tarp Skunks. He would also help with art shows at JCC and was a member of the anime club.

Sean was very artistic and had a wonderful sense of humor that made you smile and laugh. He had a strong Christian Faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ and was confirmed in Bethel Lutheran Church. Sean took pride in taking old items and turning them into beautiful pieces of art. He was also a very skilled costume designer and content creator.

Sean had a fierce appreciation for comics and other related art forms. He enjoyed attending Comic-Con conventions and was an active community member. Through this, Sean connected with peers, voice actors, creators, and other well-respected professionals. Sean loved nature and animals and will be dearly missed by the family dog, Addie. He took wonderful care of his cats Tyson and Onyx. He admirably honored, respected, and celebrated all forms of life.

Sean had a profound and contagious commitment to his fellow human being. He took pride in his citizenship, his independence, and doing his part. Most important to him, though, was his exemplary kindness, empathy, compassion, and generosity that he chose to share everyday with all those who knew him.

Surviving are his parents Sean L. and Susan M. Kilmartin of Jamestown; his sister Kelsey Jane Kilmartin (Joshua Lanphere) of Jamestown; nieces and nephews: Clara Lanphere, Maverick Beard, Willow Lanphere, Lorelei Lanphere; aunts and uncles: Jacqueline Erickson (Mike Amico), Roberta (John) Bliemeister, Richard (Barb) Grover, Deborah (Jim) Ognibene, William J. (Sharon) Kilmartin IV, Kelly (LouAnn) Kilmartin, Sandy (Patric) Kilmartin; cousins: Jessica (Joseph) Prior, Scott (Clarissa) Bliemeister, Kim Bliemeister, Kelly (Mike) Lee, Christina (Reggie) Raman, Richard (Amy) Grover, Eric (Martha Kate) Grover, Brittany Grover, Matthew Grover, Leslie (Todd) Melquist, Philip (Megan) Ognibene, Kaitlyn Kilmartin, William J. (Samantha) Kilmartin V, Chloe Kilmartin.

He was preceded in death by his sister Shana Margaret Kilmartin on Nov. 15, 1990; his maternal grandparents: Robert and Norma Grover; paternal grandparents Willam J. and Janis “Maude” Kilmartin III; uncles Kevin Erickson and Patric Kilmartin.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday in the Falconer Funeral Home. The funeral service for Sean will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home. Rev. Rob Allport-Cohoon of Bethel Lutheran Church will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer.
