Sandra J. Furlow

A lifelong area resident she was born December 21, 1942 in Jamestown, the daughter of the late Sylvester and Evalyn Wallin Rickard.

Sandy was a graduate of Southwestern High School and prior to retirement was employed by Lutheran Social Services for 25 years.

Sandy’s enjoyment in life was spending time with her family, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Her family was the most important part of her life.

Surviving are six children: Kim (Jeff) Thomas, Shelly (Arlie) Quackenbush, Sherry Furlow, Bill (Kim) Furlow, Janice Jackson, Sandy Gardner (J.T. Marucci); several grandchildren, several great grandchildren; two brothers: Ronnie (Brenda) Rickard, Dan (Mary) Rickard; four sisters: Arlene (Roger) Johnson, Joyce Bigney, Beverly Bigney and Rhonda Straight.

She was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth R. Buck, who died September 13, 2014; a granddaughter Ashley Greene; and two sisters: Janet Rickard and Linda Miller.

The funeral will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday in the Falconer Funeral Home. Rev. Laura Csellak will officiate. Burial will be in Pine Hill Cemetery, Falconer.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Thursday in the funeral home.
