Takuko K. Ecklund

She was born July 5, 1932, in Yamaguchi-Ken, Japan to the late Higaki and Shinobu Katayama Kubota.

Takuko was a member of the Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Jamestown. She enjoyed gardening, knitting, crocheting, watching the N.Y. Yankees baseball and college football. She especially enjoyed going out to dinner with friends and family.

She is survived by her two sons: Keith P. (Kimberly) Ecklund of Jamestown, and Christopher W. Ecklund of North Warren, Pa.; five grandchildren: Kaileigh A. Ecklund, Madisyn L. Ecklund, Ryleigh G. Ecklund, and Joe (Kayla) Bergman; two great-grandchildren: Evelyn and Axel Bergman; her sister-in-law, Anabel Ecklund of Mayville; her brother-in-law, Roger (Elizabeth) Crassi of Clarence N.Y.

Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald E. Ecklund, whom she married Nov. 2, 1959, in Fukuoka City, Japan, who died July 28, 2020; and her daughter, Kathleen Jeanette Ecklund in November of 1962.

The family would like to thank everyone for the continued support of her (and Ron) during the last few years, but especially her son, Keith and his wife, Kim and sister-in-law, Anabel. With their help, she was able to stay in her life long home up until the last few weeks.

Visitation will not be observed.

A memorial service will be held at the convenience of the family
