Noah James McNallie

Noah was born Nov. 29, 1986, in Jamestown, N.Y., to Shaun and Robin Rankin McNallie.

He attended Jamestown and Falconer Public schools until moving to North Carolina at the age of 16. Not finishing high school he attained his GED and attended college to further his knowledge of computers. Noah’s expertise and passion for everything technical was vast and he was often consulted by those who viewed him as the “go to”person with a problem.

Noah fought a courageous battle against the debilitating bipolar disease throughout his adult life. Although he was unpredictable at times he was a caring, kind man who made friends easily. He thought of others and even when he had little himself he bought food for birds and animals who were in greater need than he.

He is survived by his father and stepmother, Shaun and Ann McNallie of Louisburg, N.C.; two brothers: Graham of Rocky Mt, N.C., and Nathan (Carrie) of Winston Salem, N.C.; stepsister, Ryan Sweeney Heston (Dennis) of Greenville, N.C.; and stepbrother, Jeremy Sweeney of Warren, Pa.; and six nieces and nephews.

He is also survived by his grandmother; Yvonne McNallie; an uncle, Kevin McNallie (Marcia) of Cleveland, Ohio, an aunt Elise Lund (Kirk Frink) of Russell, Pa.; and cousins: Patrick Lund, Ian Lund, Adam McNallie and Emma McNallie.

Also surviving are uncles: Todd Rankin of Cory, Pa., John Rankin of Cory, Pa., and Bill Rankin of California; and four cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Robin; his maternal grandparents, Pat and Ralph (Junior) Rankin; and his paternal grandfather, Larry McNallie.

Services will be observed by family only. A memorial service will be held in Jamestown, N.Y., for friends and family in the spring.
