David Lee Delahoy

David Lee Delahoy, 73, of Lexington, S.C., passed away peeacefully at home on July 29, 2021.

He was the oldest son of the late Charles W. and Myrtle May (Hadley) Delahoy, born Oct. 27, 1947, in Jamestown N.Y.

He graduated from Chautauqua Central School. He join the U.S. Air Force, many years later joining the U.S. Army and enjoyed a 30 year career. David retire with the rank of Chief Warrant Office (CW4).

He travel all over the world, station in Germany, Australia, Philippine, ka, and many more bases in the United States and abroad. While on active duty he earned the Military Order of the Purple Heart, with many other medal for service. He is also a life-time member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Jerri (Wilcox) Delahoy, whom he married Dec. 30, 1981;his sons: Dallas, Stephen, and Zakery Delahoy; daughters: Jennifer Jensen, Meghen (Mike) DeJoseph and Shannon (Erik) Krueger; three graandsons and one grandchild on the way; a brother, Dennis Delahoy; sisters: Diana Bayette, Janice (Brian) Franklin, and Jean Roth.

David was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Dana Delahoy.

A funeral serice will be held at a later date. with burial in Arlington Cemetery.
